Egor Egorov
My passion for coding began at age 13 when I wrote my first code in Turbo Pascal. Since then, participation in all school subjects involving coding and solving algorithmic challenges became a norm. During college years, self-teaching Java led to the creation of an open-source library with a friend for WebSockets. Then my passion turned to Android development which led me to start working as a professional Android Software Engineer at age 19.
After a few years, I was really excited about a startup idea that my friend had, which required a cross-platform framework choice. I was always reluctant to use cross-platform due to a bad experience with Xamarin, but then I met Flutter and that changed my whole perspective on this topic. Native development hasn't been my focus since.
After learning a lot from the first startup, it led me to found a new venture, assembling a team, and developing a solid Flutter foundation with apps running in production which solidified my belief in Flutter abilities.
At the same time, I have been working at Serko which hired me to migrate their mobile apps built in Objective-C and Java to Flutter. During migration, I have managed multiple stakeholders, architected solutions, and mentored backend devs to become Flutter developers.
